store bought double pie crust
or homemade

Cup
sugar

Cornstarch

teaspoon
cinnamon
1/4
cup
chopped pecans
optional

Cup
caramel ice cream topping

Granny Smith apples sliced thin
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Stir together sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Toss with apples in a mixing bowl.
Pour the mixture into the first unbaked pie crust then drizzle with caramel topping.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Place teh second pie crust over top and flute the edges, slit the top.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
I usually foil the edges until the last 15-20 minutes of baking.
Allow to cool for at least an hour before cutting.
Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
