
Mack Family Strawberry Sorbet
My mom makes this all summer long. So simple and tasty! The liquor is important to keep it from freezing solid.
Ingredients
- 3 Pints Fresh strawberries cleaned and stemmed
- 1 3/4 C. Sugar
- Juice from 3 Oranges
- Juice from 3 Lemons
- 1/4 C. Orange Liquor
Instructions
- Blend strawberries in a food processor or with an emulsion blender. Stir in juices, sugar and liquor. Pour mix into a 9×13 pan, freeze about 24 hours or until frozen.
- Pull out frozen mixture. Using a hand mixer, whip all until fluffy. Recommend doing this in the sink to contain and flying sorbet bits! Pack fluffed sorbet into a freezer container. Refreeze. Serve with a slice of fruit for garnish.
