Caramel Apple Pie
Quick and easy, but highly requested!!
Ingredients
- 1 store bought double pie crust or homemade
- 3/4 Cup sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans optional
- 1/2 Cup caramel ice cream topping
- 5-6 Granny Smith apples sliced thin
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Stir together sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Toss with apples in a mixing bowl.
- Pour the mixture into the first unbaked pie crust then drizzle with caramel topping.
- Sprinkle with pecans.
- Place teh second pie crust over top and flute the edges, slit the top.
- Place on baking sheet.
- Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- I usually foil the edges until the last 15-20 minutes of baking.
- Allow to cool for at least an hour before cutting.
- Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
