Our Impact: ADC in Action
Here’s how our amazing team is making waves in their communities:
I had a great experience baking for Meals on Wheels. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time. The Nectar challenge made me put thoughts into action. I’m going to make desserts for them once a month. This time I baked 8 dozen Apricot Shortbread Cookies. Thanks to ADC for the opportunity to volunteer at my kid’s school serving lunch. I try to do this at least twice a year and love that I can carve out time in my work day to do this.Durham Fair with the Lions ClubI prepared and handed out over 50 bags of winter ready bags filled with snacks, water, hats, socks, gloves, hand warmers, emergency blankets, personal supplies and so much more to the homeless.I used 4 hours of Volunteer PTO on Monday, November 13th, to volunteer at my church for Operation Christmas Child collection week. My church is the drop off location for the surrounding churches or individuals to drop off their shoe boxes filled with gifts for children around the world in various countries. During the 4 hours that I was there, we received over 500 boxes from surrounding areas/churches for this ministry. I am very thankful that ADC allowed me to volunteer, this operation is very dear to me and my church. I have attached some pictures from the morning I had.
