How It Works
Every ADC Team Member gets the opportunity to take paid time off to volunteer for causes close to their hearts. It’s simple: ADC offers 4 hours of Volunteer Paid Time Off (VPTO) every 6 months, allowing you to choose a non-profit organization that resonates with you. I had a great experience baking for Meals on Wheels. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a long time. The Nectar challenge made me put thoughts into action. I’m going to make desserts for them once a month. This time I baked 8 dozen Apricot Shortbread Cookies.Thanks to ADC for the opportunity to volunteer at my kid’s school serving lunch. I try to do this at least twice a year and love that I can carve out time in my work day to do this.Durham Fair with the Lions ClubI prepared and handed out over 50 bags of winter ready bags filled with snacks, water, hats, socks, gloves, hand warmers, emergency blankets, personal supplies and so much more to the homeless.
